Suggestion: Use your search engine and type in "continuous glucose monitors".  This will give you many results.  Since I am a type 2, I cannot get one on a permanent basis as my insurance will not cover it.  If you are a type 1 and hypoglycemically unaware, it may still be difficult, but if the doctor does his work, it is possible.

You may also wish to read - http://diabetes.webmd.com/continuous-glucose-monitoring for a discussion on continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and their purpose.

Good luck.

I have been using Dex.com for about 2 years.  It is the most accurate I am told by the diabetic educator.

Sometimes the reading is exactly the same as the glucometer.  There is usually a 20% difference.  You

must check with the meter before taking a shot.

The continuous glucose monitoring system will alert you for highs and lows.  It really helps maintain control.
