I have been on fast-acting (pump) insulin since 2010 and have seen my muscle tone of my legs become more slack, in spite of daily brisk walks and 1-2 X a week treadmill and elliptical .  I am female, 72 years old, quite thin, but not emaciated, and also the skin of my arms is getting more wrinkled and I feel that this has happened in the last year.

Is there any research to this subject or does anyone have any insights, similar experiences?

I am lifting 6 lb weights several times a week, and that has helped my arm strength, but the wrinkliness has not changed.
