Even though I think I have bolused correctly for my carb intake, sometimes my BG takes off and then I seem to be chasing it with correction boluses. Then when my BG peaks - sometimes around 250-300, I start to tank and then go low in about 3-4 hours. Anyone else have this problem? I have been on the pump for only about 2 months. I am Type 1, diagnosed in my 60's.

As a Type 2 on insulin and pills I came to realize early on that my blood sugar levels were going to do what they wanted, when they wanted, regardless of my efforts.  I will go for days with really good levels and then one day...bang...there goes the blood sugar!  When that happens I don't do large increases in my insulin intake.  I go up gradually until things come back in line.  Even then, some days I will go very low (for me) and then, it will bounce back.  Some days you get the bear, some days the bear gets you!
