Hydrooxycut was removed from the market today by the FDA.  I has caused liver problems.  You can read the article at the address above.  Just a reminder that the only way to lose weight is to eat less.

I'm doing well on Weight Watchers and continue to lose.  I'm down 38.4 pounds and have lost 10% of my body weight.  BMI is down from 64 to 57.  I still have a long way to go, but being able to eat anything is a big help in staying on the plan. My next goal is to lose 50 ponds before I go to the doctor at the end of June.

Dear Jen,

You have inspired me.  As I said in another post, I am taking early retirement and it encourages me to think that with your example I won't sit home and eat things that I shouldn't.  You have gone forward very well and steadily.

Keep us posted.  I need all the encouragement I can get.  I'm a little frightened (financially) of early retirement but I hope I will find something to do.  At any rate, kudos to you!

jen1229,

Keep up the good work.  I had found it earlier at

http://www.healthcentral.com/obesity/news-288584-98.html?ic=News%20Alert

Plus I think every news and health organization now has it posted on their site and on the airwaves.

I think is is good that the news and health organizations have changed the name of the flu now.

Hi Galemarie:

As much as I wanted to I oculdn't dothis whem I was working because of my long commute.  Now that I am not working anymore I have time to take care of me.  Best thing my PCP ever  suggested.  Financially, I could use a bit more money, but becuase of Long Term Disability I can't work at all or they deduct what I make from my check.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

There is another way to lose weight while eating the same good healthy food plan and that is MOVE MORE!  Excercise more.  Right?

Right.  I have a problem because I can't stand very long or walk very far.  A woman in the class at WW gave me a pair of 3 pound weights so I can do some exercises.

Jen,

My WW leader tells of a WW member who could neither stand nor walk much when she began trying to lose weight.  Eventually she lost over 100 pounds.  Her very first exercise was getting out of her chair to change the TV channel.  Eventually, as she began to shed weight, she was able to walk out to her mailbox and then later to the corner of her block.

Anything you can do to move helps.  You're on the right track.  Keep up the good work.

It is true. Since I lost the 40 pounds I can move better.  I can walk a little better and I'm hoping, once the weather gets warmer to go to our complex pool.  Walking in the pool should be easier and I still remember my hydrobics from whein I used to go to the Y.  I hope this will work beause suddenly I am at a standstill.  I'm hoping to be able to build up a  little stamina.  I've already noticed that washing my hair in the shower is easier.
