Hi All,

New member here to the message boards.  Diagnosed type 1 at age 25, 30 now.  A1C around 6.5-6.8.  Using Humalog pen and Lantus at night.

I initially was diagnosed during a check up for some pain i was having below the waist.  I went through several months of worsening pain, mostly all from the waist down.  Now the sharp pains have subsided, but my legs are very sensitive to touch, pressure, and friction.

I have gone on Cymbalta and other such medications but found the end result was not worth the many side effects.

I am wondering if anyone has found a good way to alleviate these symptoms.  I snowboard during the winter, but have not found anything to ease the discomfort of a tight fitting boot.

Thanks for any and all input!

-Sam
