I have been diagnosed with scleroderma diabeticum.  the back of my neck and shoulders are thick as leather.  My dermatologist and primary care MD don't see this as significant.  I feel differently.  It is difficult to fully raise and lower my head.  If forced to do so it makes me feel dizzy and the room to close in.  I never pass out, but it is uncomfortable.  Any info. would be appreciated.

What have your doctors told you about this condition?

He doesn't seem concerned.  I think he views it as thickened skin and nothing much more.  I try to ignore it.  Do you know anything about it?
