That is really bad!!!

See your Doctor ASAP!!!

Stress can be a big cause but you didn't mention anything about diet.

While stress might be playing a role it clearly sounds like you need an adjustment in your insulin dosages.

I agree that you need to talk with your diabetes healthcare team, asap.

You need to see your DR you may need a different insulin Lantus the pen as well as metformin. You need to do 1/2 high aerobic exercise 7 x per week. I started the DR OZ diet 3 weeks ago and have excercised every day. You do not mention your weight. Stress will do it as well. If you have a disabilty policy at work you may want to take 4 weeks off to get back in shape. Diabetes is an excuse for disability

Are you type 1 or 2? Taking any medication besides the insulin? What type of insulin are you taking and at what times of the day. At 220 lbs you should be able to get BG under control.

By Rubber Band do you mean Lap Band Surgery?  What are you eating?  You need to speak to your Dr.  about a change in doage.  Waht meds and what type of insulin are you taking?  If you are not happy with your current doctor, you should ask for a referral to an Endocrinologist and a nutritionist who can help you get your insulin dosage correct and hlp you with your diet.

You need to exercise at least three times a week for at least 30 min.  It does not all have tobe at the gym.  Walking is excellent exercise.

Good luck and let us know how you progress.
