Jen, I gave Byetta a try when Metformin and Prandin stopped working for me. As we all know diabetes is a progressive condition and for me that combination stopped working. When my endo at Joslin suggested trying Byetta I jumped at the chance. So far it is still working well for me. I know that at sometime the progression will rear it's ugly head

When I first started taking Metformin it suppressed my appetite too. That and the mild stomach upset combined to help me lose weight. Thanks goodness the stomach problems resolved quickly. You still need to maintain your meal plan, skipping meals make my BS levels soar later that day. Dee

Shortie, I had the worst luck finding a seasonal flu shot for hubby and me. My FPs office has been out for two weeks, I kept waiting for them to get it back in to no avail. Finally, calling around to Kroger Pharmacy got results, but the times open weren't convenient. DD told me that KMart Pharmacy was giving them on certain days only...and finally

I got the shot recently, our insurance paid 100% of the cost. I know what shingles did to my husbands health and the problems he endures daily because of it. I had some redness and slight warmth at the injection site for a few days, other than that no problems.
